I am still injoying this book and I found out why i don't get bored. It doesn't hav any useless detail and it goes fast! I wonder what will happen to Suzanne when she does her spy work. I also wonder if they will keep the black cat. I looked up rutabaga on line and I can see why Suzanne is sick of them. They look didscusting.
Hey! Ok so I finished the book last night and it is very interesting. I think it is a good book with an awesome twist because who would suspect Suzanne to be a spy!? Its really sad when Dr.Leclerc dies though. Suzanne must feel horrible, because she broke that promise to him! When Suzanne was captured, I was really scared that she would die. I didn't really get how she escaped- but I'm glad she did! What do you guys think?
Yes, maryjane that is a great point! I think she escaped because the Nazi's had to go and fight the war, because Pearl Harbor was happening. I am glad she escaped though- and yes. I am very sad to see him die, but its what the Gemrmans had to do. I also was very happy that the war was over at the end! I thought it was a good ending
Although most of you have not finished the book, I'm going to talk about the end. It's really amazing that only two spies survived and that Suzanne was able to just walk out of the jail after the Nazis left. I really feel bad for the doctor's family, the doctor was just trying to fight for everyone's freedom and his whole family got killed. It's amazing how the small little pieces of paper that Suzanne passed along to the other spies, helped in a huge invasion of the Allies. I think I learned a few things about World War 2, what about you?
The writer did a very good job, but i think she needs to learn how to spread out the major evets because in the middle it was really boring, but then at the end so many things happen. I feel really bad for Suzanne because she suffered alot of injurys! I would be crying when I got that injusry above her chest.
sorry im a little late, my computer was having problems. i think it is really cool that suzanne is a spy and that she really helped her country. i wish i could do something like that!
the book started out a little boring but it has really picked up. there are some really exciting moments now. what is nice is, the girl is 13. she is about our age so its easy to relate to her, even if she is french.
I have no idea what I would do if I was capturewd. I would probably just tell them the truth because I am a terrible liar- and have them kill me. Probably not the best stratigy, eh?
WHat would you guys rate the book? WHy? I think I would give it abut a 7 or 8. I think this because it needs to be spread out more evenly, but it has a good plot line- and it sure intreges you in the first chapeter.
marie is sweeter and more hood then margot!

Unfortnatly if I lie my face gets all red and I get really hot and sweaty and then I act all weird untill the guilt eats me alive and then I confess- you can see why Im a pretty honest person.
Well first of all, thank you Mrs. Smith for trying to mix things up a bit. I really enjoyed blogging, and thought it was a fun and easy way to find out what other people were thinking about the book. I thought it was more fun and creative than just having a book disscusion as a group! So thanks a ton, and I would definetly consiter this for next year!
I think blogging is great! Not only do we get to work on computers but we save our voice! It makes talking about books that we've read more interesting and enjoyable.
Each week, you will be required to respond to the section of reading you have completed. Include questions, reactions, favorite parts, etc. You then must respond to what each of your other lit circle members wrote as well. Be sure to provide possible answers to your team members’ questions. Ask them questions about their reactions to the reading. Have fun!
Example Response
John Smith: Wow! I am so interested in this book. Could you imagine being orphaned at our age and having to be able to survive on our own? Crispin has no other relatives to take him in, and it sounds like he is not very accepted in his village. I wonder why John Aycliff is after him? Life was so different during this time period. People could be killed for doing what we consider very minor things. Life sure was difficult. I am curious to know what you guys think about this book. Do you think Crispin will stay in Stromford or run away? How will he escape John Aycliff?
BLOG #3 DISCUSSION IDEAS
Discuss the injustices that occur in your book(s). Provide specific examples and your reaction.
Knowing what we do now about the Holocaust and the murder of over 6,000,000 Jewish people, how do you feel knowing that there are genocides still going on today? It is estimated that anywhere between 200,000- 400,000 civilians have been killed in Darfur since 2003. What does this say about our civilization that events like this still occur? What can we do to help prevent this type of situation from occurring?

OH MY GOSH! I LOVE SUZANNES SHOE IDEA! THAT WAS SO CLEVER! I WANT SHOES THAT CARRY SECRET MESSAGES!
excuse me is anyone longing to discuss this with me?
The reason that the Nazis left was because England and the U.S. were attacking them on the oceans edge at Normandy, not because of pearl harbor.
