Wow! I finally got the time to read! I realized how when you sit down and read this book, it's pretty good. That was really weird how Hannah just somehow got transported to some Polish village. I am now about half way done with the book when the Nazis have captured Hannah and company. I really want to read more!
Wow I really like the book. I can not imagin being stufed in a truck shiped off to a contration camp and be forced to work!! Do you like the book? Also do you think she will survive the camp? I really hope you guys are that far!
I think this section of the book has been interesting. All of the girls that Hannah meets are kind of annoying, in my opinion. I understand that they are excited about meeting her, but they bombard her with questions. It seems like Hannah is a good story-teller. Rachel seems nice, I just wonder if she has asthma or something like that. Overall, this book has been good, but I feel like there could be a little more action.
I hope that Hannah gets taken back to her real family! I am slightly afraid of Gitl and Shmuel. Shmuel seems nice enough, but Gitl seems stern. Maybe they will be nicer to Hannah. I hope so!
Each week, you will be required to respond to the section of reading you have completed. Include questions, reactions, favorite parts, etc. You then must respond to what each of your other lit circle members wrote as well. Be sure to provide possible answers to your team members’ questions. Ask them questions about their reactions to the reading. Have fun!
Example Response
John Smith: Wow! I am so interested in this book. Could you imagine being orphaned at our age and having to be able to survive on our own? Crispin has no other relatives to take him in, and it sounds like he is not very accepted in his village. I wonder why John Aycliff is after him? Life was so different during this time period. People could be killed for doing what we consider very minor things. Life sure was difficult. I am curious to know what you guys think about this book. Do you think Crispin will stay in Stromford or run away? How will he escape John Aycliff?
BLOG #3 DISCUSSION IDEAS
Discuss the injustices that occur in your book(s). Provide specific examples and your reaction.
Knowing what we do now about the Holocaust and the murder of over 6,000,000 Jewish people, how do you feel knowing that there are genocides still going on today? It is estimated that anywhere between 200,000- 400,000 civilians have been killed in Darfur since 2003. What does this say about our civilization that events like this still occur? What can we do to help prevent this type of situation from occurring?

Cool Tanner what do you like about it.
Well, I'm not relly sure. It's just good. Did you think that some of the words were confusing?

Yeah, it's hard to understand and pronounce a lot of the Hebrew words.
Yeah they use Hebrew alot and don't tell you what it means. It gets really confusing at parts.
THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT TOO
Whoops, I accidently had caps lock on
Maddie I agree but just wait and there will be alot of action.

Good! I wish there was a Hebrew dictionary in the back!
